The honorable Wayne Thompson, mayor of Niagara Falls, presided at the ribbon
cutting for Niagara Heli-Golf Inc. The event took place at the Niagara Helicopters
heliport on Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, Ontario and was attended by Franca
B. Jamieson owner of Niagara Heli-Golf Inc., Ruedi Hafen owner of Niagara Helicopters
Ltd., Lorie Kane from the LPGA and CPGA, P.E.I. Linda Sheppard CPGA, and owner
of Barcovan Golf Club, Brighton, Ontario, Claudia Beauchesne, CPGA, Montreal,
QE., Ron W. Jamieson, Niagara Falls, Jack Cane of PEI and Julie Pare of Montreal,
QE. The golfers were in town for the Whirlpool CPGA Championship at the St. Catharines
G&CC.
Niagara Heli-Golf's guests were taken on an aerial tour of Niagara and then transported
by helicopter to Vineland Estates Winery to celebrate the occasion at its renowned
winery restaurant.
