Thundering Waters combines the parkland tranquility of Augusta National and the wind swept dunes of heathlands British Open Championship golf. Sweeping fairways, undulating greens, sculpted bunkers and meandering creeks, all nestled between towering trees and mighty dunes combine to create a true masterpiece.
John Daly
John Daly started playing golf at the age of four and has since risen to become a true sports legend. John was born in Carmichael , California on April 28th 1966 . He graduated from the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the golf team.
Daly turned professional in 1987. In 1990 he won the Ben Hogan Utah Classic. He joined the PGA Tour in 1991 and won the PGA Championship in his first year.
In 1992 he won the B.C. Open and the 1994 BellSouth Classic. He earned exempt status in 1995 when he won the British Open.
His long list of achievements include being named the 1990 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, becoming the youngest active player on the PGA Tour with two major championship titles, and becoming the fourth American since World War II to win two majors before his 30th birthday, joining Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Johnny Miller.
Daly is one of the most recognized and popular members of the tour. He is known primarily for his power on the course. Daly is a consistent challenger for he Driving Distance crown and has won that title a record-setting 11 times as of 2004. He is currently ranked 3rd in driving distance, 4th in putting average, 1st in eagles, 6th in birdie average, and 2nd in total eagles.
The Course
Thundering Waters features rolling greens, sculpted bunkers, meandering creeks, and expansive fairways. Here you'll find the 7th longest hole in Canada, measuring at 661 yards, along with a gratifying mix of the best of woodland, parkland, and heathland styles. All these combine to create a true masterwork.

- Cross at the Rainbow Bridge.
- Take Highway 420 west to Stanley Avenue (1.5 miles).
- Turn left (south) on to Stanley Avenue.
