Alvento Winery
The Alvento Winery was established in 2001, near the waterfront of Lake Ontario. The 13.4-acre vineyard is owned by Zhang’s family, who fell in love with the region five years ago.
The Alvento winesare produced from grapes cultivated on waterfront vineyard with sandy loam soil, at the Jordan Harbor. The grapes are harvested and sorted purely by nature-friendly practices. Small batch wines are now crafted from established vines that offer quality fruit with subtle complexities. Classic premium winemaking grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Nebbiolo, and Viognier are grown in light sandy soils.
