Cave Spring vineyard is huddled along a lightly inclined terrace of the Niagara Escarpment. The soil is loaded with minerals, containing shale, sandstone and escarpment limestone. This abundance of nutrients in the soil contributes to the making of Cave Spring Winery. Cave Spring Cellars also have nicely tinged red wines such as Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir. Cave Spring Niagara Peninsula selections, CSV wines, premium estate bottled wines and Niagara Escarpment bottlings reflect the uniqueness of Niagara's different growing areas.
