Victoria Day is Canada's oldest state holiday. It is a celebration to respect Queen Victoria’s birthday. The British queen was born on May 24, 1819. In 1952, Parliament declared that Victoria Day would be celebrated on the Monday before May 24 every year.

VICTORIA DAY FIREWORKS:
Niagara Falls Fireworks show begins with special holiday shows over the Victoria Day and Memorial Day long weekends. Each fireworks display will take place at 10 p.m.
Best Places to watch the Fireworks are Queen Victoria Park, Grand View Marketplace and Platform of Journey Behind the Falls just steps away from the base of the falls.
